The „Sport Forum Lambrechtsgrund“, with 5 indoor arenas and a stadium is the largest and most versatile sports complex in the region.

Traditionally, Schwerin has been a centre of sports in Northern Germany, especially for volleyball, boxing, handball and track and field. Schwerin´s sports highlight is its women´s volleyball team of the Sports Club Schwerin (SSC), hard to surpass as several times German champion, cup winner and participant in the Champion´s League.
