location & history |
| Bremen offers a trip through the past. The eventful history of this more than 1200-year-old Hanseatic city reveals itself in and around its private and public buildings, its squares, and in its streets and quarters. But Bremen is also a modern and cosmopolitan city, a city of short distances with a lot of green in between. |

sightseeing |
| Bremen’s historical core is the Marktplatz, a meeting point for tourists. But the city offers more: galleries, museums, concert halls, theatres and a musical theatre, parks and gardens, romantic places, a lively "scene” as well as newly created shopping arcades for everyday needs and exclusive articles. But also new attractions like the Universum Science Centre with more than 200 mostly interactive exhibits which offers a new approach to earth, mankind and space or the new Schlachte Embankment with a great variety of restaurants or the "longest beer garden in town”: all of these are worth a visit. |
